China’s economic growth is poised to accelerate again as local companies continue to break out in a country where COVID-19 control measures have become the norm. The ICMCI Academic Fellow designation, awarded to Kmind in August 2021, recognizes academic practitioners from around the world who have contributed to the study and teaching of management consulting.
To apply for the ICMCI Academic Fellowship, candidates are required to have published multiple academic papers on traceable research results representing the highest levels of the industry, to be engaged in teaching in the management consulting field, and to have extensive practical experience with management consulting cases. Most of the approved ICMCI Academic Fellows over the years have been professors from world-renowned universities, such as the University of Southern California in the United States, the University of Ottawa in Canada, and Durham University Business School in the United Kingdom.
ICMCI Academic Fellows are selected based upon the recommendation of the local IMC. A total of 65 management consulting experts from around the world have made the list since 2013, including four from China. They are either professors or PhD supervisors with an impressive academic track record, or experts in the management consulting industry with rich hands-on experience.
With more than 20 years of experience in strategy consulting, Xie Weishan has achieved a particularly worthy level of excellence in the research and teaching of management consulting worldwide, as evidenced by his ICMCI Academic Fellowship. Under the guidance of the CEC, he will work with other ICMCI Academic Fellows to promote theoretical innovation in management consulting, drive forward the global consulting sector, and showcase the power of Chinese business wisdom in the international arena.

The unique strategy consulting model created by Kmind is based on the Chinese people’s confidence in our own culture, theory, and path.
